Scope and Contents

The Housing and Dining collection spans the years from 1900-2012 with the bulk of the collection dating from 1970-2000. The collection is arranged alphabetically, and consists of booklets, pamphlets, manuals, coupons, correspondence, menus, promotional material, rate proposals, campus living guides and clippings on information regarding dormitory living, apartment living and eateries on and off campus.

Eastern Michigan University's Housing and Dining offers living options for first year, upper class, and international student to make them feel at home. Such options include internet access, cable, and laundry facilities. Housing and Dining provides a high quality, resident centered, learning environment while enhancing personal development and community living for all students as well as provide quality dining experiences for students and guest of the community. Residence halls supports learning, allows students to learn from others and help students maximize their engagements.

Abstract

The Housing and Dining collection includes clipping, newsletters, correspondence, coupons, directories, housing rates, statists, menus, and rate proposals. Also included are booklets, manuals, and pamphlets on campus housing and on and off campus eateries. The collection (1900-2012) is organized alphabetically and the four series: Booklets, Clippings, Manuals, and Pamphlets are arranged chronologically. The bulk of the collection is from 1970-2000.
